Yesterday in Silveria Restaurant was the first day for the Christmas buffet, the Christmas buffet was set and arranged with the Christmas theme and a variety of  traditional Finnish dishes .Below  are some of the pictures from yesterday including food and arrangements with a short description.

Today's Kitchen (Silveria Restaurant)

Today 9/12/12 was just another regular day in Silveria's kitchen , we had white fish with mashed potatoes and beef stew ''ragu'' as the main course and in dessert we had strawberry sorbet for which our  supervisor chef came up with an easy and fast recipe, following are some pictures from today but I couldn't take much better ones as we were quite few and busy today.

Independence Party at VAO

6 December, the independence day of Finland.
Its a holiday all over the Finland. Today an Independence party was programmed at Vaasan Ammattiopisto to tell the students about the history of Finland and to remember those who sacrificed a lot for this nation.
A group of veterans sang some independence related songs to remember the sacrifices and their struggle for this nation.
After that a group of teachers were honored with awards for their excellent service to the school for over 20 years.
At the end we had a group of young children's playing some really nice instruments.
